Connected Infrastructure for the transportation of the future

Connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV) offer the promise of increased efficiency of use of the UK’s transport network, and of an associated improvement of the traveler experience. This workshop brings together key players from industry, the public sector and academia to distill the challenges in progressing the benefits of CAV, and to scope future work to overcome these challenges. The workshop will be technically focused, with keynote speakers covering the range of CAV issues, followed by a professionally facilitated workshop. It is jointly hosted by CommNet2 EPSRC network project and TICS itself.

Workshop includes speakers from:

  • Paul Rose -How will CAV impact traffic technology infrastructure maintenance and operations,Amey
  • Dr Alex Mouzakitis -Traveling in the Vehicle of the Future , Jaguar Landrover
  • Dr Phil Greenway -Software and System Resilience, Transport Systems Catapult
  • Dr Simon Fletcher -Establishing the interdependent research agenda of transport and communications, Real Wireless
